Marilex ‘Alex’ holds a doctoral degree in Information Systems with a focus on Business Intelligence and Analytics. She has 7 years of experience in implementing and maintaining both on-premises and cloud data solutions, ensuring that BI investments deliver business value. Alex is currently working as a Senior BI Engineer at Fremtind AS. She aims to contribute to a sustainable digital future and help organization optimize their digital assets through this position. Additionally, she is an adjunct Associate Professor at the Norwegian Business School (NHH) in Bergen, responsible for a business intelligence course. She aspires to bridge the gap between academia and industry to equip students with the skills needed for the modern, data-driven workforce. Furthermore, Alex is also a board member of the Filipino Engineer and IT Professionals in Norway.
